We are only a couple of weeks away from Christmas. These remaining days can serve to be some of the most stressful days in the year. Most are scrambling to finish their Christmas shopping. Oh, She’s Just My Buddy: Can Men and Women Really Just Be Friends?

The other day a friend and I were talking about men and women being platonic friends. The conversation was really interesting and made me think about a situation I had when I was in college dating a young lady. I lived off campus solo (great times!) and had a really cool female friend who live in an apartment complex across the street.
The friend and I actually met working at the same company. We clicked immediately and would begin to hang out, carpool to work, grab bites to eat, etc. No level of sexual attraction or wanting to date was ever between us. She was really just a super cool person to be friends with. Read more

We’ve spent a lot of time talking about relationships that revolve around love, whether it be dating or marriage. But I think there’s some value in evaluating our relationships on a friendship and acquaintance level as well.
The older I get and the more I learn about myself, something’s become crystal clear to me. I simply can’t hang with negative people. Where’s the value? What’s in it for me?
Some may think that is an obvious statement on the surface. Yet, I suspect more are guilty of this than they realize. We’re quick to use phrases us as:
No time for haters and Nobody’s gonna steal my joy
