Eric Roberson: Music Artists You Should Know

Listening to the radio these days gives me a headache.  It seems like the songs that are in heavy rotation all sound the same. The songs are full of clever sexual innuendos that are acceptable enough to get radio play. This is one reason I find it necessary to travel with my IPod at all times.

Part of the fun for me is discovering talented music artists that are not in the mainstream.  I really like finding artists that make it obvious they enjoy their craft. Too many artists appear to be in the music business purely for the fame and riches. I'm afraid a lot of those folks dominate commercial radio today.

When having conversations with my friends, I share with them my latest music finds. I thought to myself, why not do essentially the same thing here on Men's Playbook?  So we've decide to start a recurring series of articles called Music Artists You Should Know to bring to light musicians that the average music fan may not know a lot about.
